„Sea water desalination is key to supplying the world’s population with potable water, but it can only be sustainable hence socially and environmentally responsible, if that desalination is based on renewable energies.”

MAGE WATER MANAGEMENT Leitmotiv

Short description of the MAGE MEH Desalination Method

The MAGE MEH WATER MANAGEMENT desalination process is based on the evaporation of sea water and the subsequent condensation of the generated steam.

The steam is completely clear and does not carry any solvents. Following  condensation, the unit yields clear, healthy and distilled fresh water.

Sea water is heated by the sun or by waste heat – transferred by superbly corrosion protected heat exchangers. The sea water enters an evaporation chamber made from high-grade, anticorrosive materials – very important for reliable long term operation. Here the sea water evaporates off of efficient
antibacterial fleece surfaces.

The generated humidity is fed into the condenser in a second step – completely devoid of any additional energy demand. Just like in nature, natural convection enables the best performance in the water production process – optimized by the craftily engineered geometric collocation of surfaces within the module.

During condensation, the main portion of the energy used for evaporation is regained, due to the application of materials with extremely low heat flux resistance.
